Placenta Print

$100.00

In cooperation with local (Houston, TX) midwives and birth assistants, placenta encapsulators will print your placenta on cold-press watercolor paper before beginning their process. I will take the print and design a watercolor painting around the placenta imprint.

This is a way to capture a live-giving part of your creating and birthing process that lasts long after the birth itself. It is a keepsake print that is enhanced by the watercolor to honor the blood print of the placenta.

Sometimes the placenta does not leave a complete print, either because the placenta was only partially saved or the cord was not retained. If this is the case, a rendering can be done in order to provide a more clear image of the placenta. This would mean that parts of the placenta or cord are painted in with watercolor.
